ShiroKuro Thanks David! I’m pretty sure this is the placement I’ll go with. An added bonus to this placement, that you can’t see from the mock-up, is that you will be able to see the curve of the piano from the living room, and sitting like this, I will be able to see all the way to the back of the living room as well.
I think this is the best placement. You have an angle for acoustics, if you have someone in the room (say doing a duet) they have a place to stand near the piano. If you have the curtains open at all, you will have the light at your back and not be looking into it.
